| Q: |
What's the age range of the
kids? |
|
| A: |
Typically 2 - 18 yrs. old, but most kids
fall in to the age range of 4-12. |
|
| |
|
|
| Q: |
What do you do down there? Do you do
work? Or bring donations? |
|
| |
|
|
| A: |
We do the Lord's work. We give and share
one of the most precious gifts one person can give another: our TIME and
ATTENTION. We play games like Basketball, Soccer, board games, a puzzle, tickle
the kids and so on... Because so many others generously do all the rest: build,
repair, bring food, donations etc., we are FREE to go our part to complete the
picture. |

|
|
| Q: |
How long have you been doing this? How
did you get started? |
|
| |
|
|
| A: |
About 1 1/2 years as of 3/2003. I
found about about it in the St. Brigid weekly Bulletin and went to the Mission
Lower parking lot and met up with the Mission Young Adults. The rest is
history. |

| Q: |
What do I need to drive in
Mexico? |
|
| |
|
|
| A: |
Mexican Insurance. I need help with driving. I
can only fit 4 - 5 people in my car. A day policy costs around 15-20 dollars. I
have walkie-talkies so we can communicate at all times during the drive. To buy
a day policy on line and print the policy go to: http://www.bajabound.com/ |

| Q: |
Where is the Orphanage and how far away is
it? |
|
| |
|
|
| A: |
It is about 5 miles south of the border. I take
route 1 that runs along the shore towards Rosirito and switch to Route 2 that
runs east-west and it is about 2 miles from there. |
|
| Q: |
Who founded the orphanage? And
when?
|
|
| A: |
Tony Ralphs, from Ralphs Supermarkets
around 1990. As times goes on more people find out about it and keep working to
make it better! And, of course, God is always at work behind the scenes! |
